Where River Meets Sea
Description
A winding river finds its way to the coast as a great shoal of fish circles beneath the water. Birds ride the breeze overhead while a distant cottage rests quietly on the shoreline, surrounded by the changing landscape.
Inspired by the British coast and the places where land, water and wildlife exist in harmony, this original ceramic artwork captures a sense of movement, belonging and home. The flowing lines draw the eye across the landscape, inviting the viewer to follow the journey from river to sea.
Each piece is individually hand drawn and carved using the traditional sgraffito technique. Every line is cut by hand through layers of coloured slip, creating a richly textured surface and ensuring that no two artworks are ever exactly alike.
A striking statement piece for anyone who loves the sea, coastal landscapes and the quiet beauty of the natural world.
